About this Scholarship
Sylvia Perry was an outstanding pioneer of music education. In 1945, she co-founded Peripole Inc., a fledgling music company which has since grown to provide musical instruments for classrooms and homes across the US. Mrs. Perry’s dedication to music education in the Willamette Valley was of the highest degree. In her honor, OMEA District 4 awards $1000 annually to a graduating senior who plans to study Music Education in college.
